“Excellent well located friendly comfortable ”
We are repeat customers and would highly recommend Howe Keld. It provides modern facilities in a traditional terrace , is very handy for restaurants,shops and the theatre. You can walk easily from Howe Keld on the footpath network and the proprietors will dry wet boots and clothes! The website give full and precise details of the rooms and accommodation.

“Lovely accommodation and hosts, great location”
Neither myself or my wife could fault our experience at Howe Keld. Both David and Val were terrific hosts, and the other members of staff were very friendly. We were offered advice on the best places to walk and even had our flask filled with fresh tea each morning. Breakfast was always delicious, with a good range of options. Our bedroom was comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated and spotless. Howe Keld's location was perfect for us - close to town and Derwent Water, and parking was easily available. 2nd time we've visited here, we love it. The rooms are very tasteful and very clean, the furniture is quality, it just feels like a very special place to stay. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable. We've always had a very warm welcome and the owners have always been very helpful accommodating any extra needs. David is always happy to share his knowledge on the Lake District which is great for us as walkers. Breakfast is always plentiful and very tasty, the granola is to die for and is a sole reason to visit Howe Keld. The location for us is perfect, only a few minutes walk from both Keswick centre and Derwent Water. “Modern, comfortable and well located”
The rooms at Howe Keld are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Although it is a little more expensive than some B&Bs Howe Keld provides a very high standard of accommodation with an emphasis on environmental awareness and high quality locally produced features and products. Everything is carefully thought out with lots of nice additional touches - free mineral water replenished daily, a chocolate on the pillow on arrival etc. There is a good range of breakfast options available to suit all tastes and staff are friendly and helpful. Howe Keld is in an excellent location between the centre of town and the lake so everything you may need is just a few minutes walk away. Howe Keld is my first choice of accommodation in Keswick.
