Fantastic place to stay!
We have visited Howe Keld for several years now and could not think of staying anywhere else when we visit the Lake District. There is a friendly and warm welcome when you arrive and you are made to feel at home right away. The rooms are beautiful, clean and everything you
would need is there waiting for you, this makes our stay so comfortable. The breakfast is delicious! You are offered such a wide range of choice and it sets you up for the day. Excellent and very enjoyable few days
Our stay here was absolutely fantastic. David and Valerie looked after us so well and were very helpful with walks and tips for restaurants which we used. We've been to Keswick a few times and love casa bella, however David recommended Morells which was great.

Clean, Comfortable, & Friendly
Lovely and clean room. You can tell the owners take pride in their B&B! Very helpful with local recommendations. Location is perfect to village, boat dock, and hiking. Great stay!

Outstanding with friendly service and good food
After spending a lot of time researching hotels and B&B's in Keswick, I hoped the Howe Keld would not disappoint. It did not. Great location, comfortable and roomy - #3 - with everything one could want in a room. sitting area; view; large closet and refrigerator, spacious bathroom with good shelf for toiletries and coffee/tea items for personal use. The shower had great flow and was large. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. The owners were friendly and offered great advice for actives and restaurants in the area.

Lovely room and great breakfasts
Room 11 was exactly as shown on the website - a very spacious room with a comfy king-side bed and a seating area. It also had a large en suite bathroom. David and Valerie were great hosts, cooked/served wonderful breakfasts, and provided valuable recommendations on dining as well as hiking. The location was a very short walk into town and an even closer walk to the lake path and ferry boat pier. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the Lake District. A highlight of our 3 week trip to the UK
Howe Keld is in an ideal location in the Lakes district. A very comfortable room, and a great breakfast. The staff were delightful and provided lots of good suggestions for dinner. It is an easy walk to the center of Keswick, and a lovely walk to Derwent Water. We will return to the Lake District one day, and will choose Howe Keld as our base. Briliant
Everything about Howe Keld was exactly as we had hoped it would be. It was fresh, contemporary, extremely comfortable, well located but quiet and the breakfast was superb. Our entire stay was a pleasure and David and Val work hard but unobtrusively to make it so. They are also working hard to minimise the impact on the environment which is an equally worthy objective. Fabulous! Cannot recommend highly enough.
Howe Keld is a fabulous place to stay. Bedrooms are comfortable, beautifully furnished & decorated and have everything you could possibly need. We especially love, in no particular order: the lovely slate place mats and coasters, the views of Cat Bells from the front bedrooms, the slate floor and the local toiletries in the en suite, the bright breakfast room and the magnificent breakfasts (especially the pancakes), the always helpful hosts and the fantastic central location - only 5 minutes from the town and the lake. Lovely faclilty, good sized rooms w/ nice amenitites (great hairdyer!) and in room wireless access. Comfy beds, showers have great water pressure. Very friendly staff & excellent service. Exceeded our expectations in all areas.
Our stay at Howe Keld was excellent. We received a warm welcome and patient assistance from the owners in orienting us to Keswick. The handmade furniture, beautiful linens and soothing colors as well as the obvious attention to environmental concerns created a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The many choices and the quality of food, the attentive service, and the overall cheerfulness of the staff contributed to making our stay memorable. Wonderful stay!
Our family required a triple room and the one at Howe Keld was both spacious and meticulously clean. The beds were great and we were all very comfortable. The hotel was in an ideal location, close to both the lake and the town. Breakfasts were lovely, many choices and all well prepared. The service from the proprietors to the wait staff were top notch. We've just returned from visiting the UK and stayed at 5 different hotels with this one being the top of our list.
