A fabulous little gem of a B&B. First class facilities and welcoming hosts. The bed was sooo comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again - highly recommended. John, Cathy and Heather 21/07/2011 |

We spent three nights at Howe Keld and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. David & Valerie were always helpful; the location was perfect - between the town centre and the lake and hiking; the breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices and the best coffee of our entire 2-week trip. Room #4 was delightful - big bay windows with a view of the mountains and space enough for 4 to relax and enjoy a glass of wine - even if the weather outdoors was less than desirable!
We will definitely stay there again if we are fortunate enough to visit the Lakes District again. Donna &Bill Hamilton 01/07/2011 |

We have just come home from a 3 night stay at howe keld. We have never been in such a beautiful bed and breakfast. We stayed in the junior room and the room was out of this world. Breakfast menu was lovely so much to choose from. No wonder Howe Keld has won top awards. We will definatly be coming back. Julie and Barry Mottram 03/06/2011 |

Howe Keld is a beautiful, professionally run and kept B&B. It is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Beds are extremely comfortable, and facilities are excellent. Breakfast is prompt and superbly cooked, with a large selection. Thank you David and Val, we can't wait to return to a dwelling and location we have fallen in love with. Shelley Timms 25/09/2010 |

We have just stayed at Howe Keld for the first time and had a very relaxing three days. Everything that David and Valerie talk about in their video is absolutely spot on. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we went through the front door. The junior suite was a fantastic place to stay - there is so much space it is a real treat. The views are amazing and the beds are soooo comfortable. It is nice to wake up and have such a great breakfast to look forward to. The choice is excellent and the food superb. the homemade breads and smoothies that are available should not be missed. Although this was our first stay we feel that we have made some new friends in David and Valerie and cannot wait to visit them and Howe Keld again. We highly recommend this and you will not disappointed with anything!!! Phil and Julia Causer 12/10/2010 |

We stayed at HoweKeld for 5 nights last week and were very happy. The rooms are great (all done up to a very high standard) and the breakfast was excellent (especially the banana bread). The location is handy, with the town centre, a supermarket and Derwentwater each being about 5 minutes away on foot. David even took some time out of his busy morning to drive us to the starting point of a walk, which we greatly appreciated. We hope to be able to return soon. Max Mittasch 02/05/2011 |
