Rick Steves - USARick Steves has created one of the best known and respected travel organisations in the USA. He is an authority on European Travel and regularly appears on his own PBS TV travel programmes across the States. Rick enjoys a large and loyal following and since he knocked on our door 19 years ago we are delighted to have been listed in his guide for Great Britain every year. In 2008 he received special recognition by the President at the White House for his service to tourism and international relations. In 2013 Howe Keld was his featured B&B in the TV special about the Lake District and North of England - screened throughout the USA on PBS.
Alastair Sawday's We have been listed in the prestigious Special Places to Stay by Alastair Sawday. His guide books list those quality businesses considered special and different so we are absolutely delighted to be included. We think his travel guides and organisation are really special themselves and his commitment to green issues is exemplary.

Michelin 2013 Great Britain and Ireland Guide
The Michelin Guide is rightly regarded as one of the most reliable pointers to quality and consistency in the hospitality industry. After many years of hoping we are delighted to report that Howe Keld has been included in the 2013 Great Britain and Ireland Guide. It is particularly gratifying because we know how rigorous the selection process is.
