David and Val were wonderful hosts. David was kind enough to park our car for us because of tight fit which I could not handle. Both were very helpful in planning outings

Stayed in Room 4 on the first floor. The room was spotlessly clean, very spacious and we had a comfortable night's sleep.In the rooms the owners use local products such as shower gel, hand cream and shampoo and this carries on into the dining room with local meats, home made bread and dairy products. There was a wide choice on the menu and the service was friendly and the staff extremely attentive. The hotel is in a good location for an evening's stroll into the town to the nearby restaurants and bars. All in all, brilliant....we will be back. We've never had such a choice of food at breakfast.
Lovely rooms, with great modern furniture which is what swayed our decision to stay there in the first place.
A lovely setting, really handy for the town centre and for travelling further afield.

“Fantastic time. We will definitely be returning.”
We stayed for 2 nights in the junior suite and it was fantastic. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and just a lovely environment to be in. The room was quiet during the night so had a lovely nights sleep.
David and Valerie were great and David helped us to park the car at the back of Howe Keld as it was a bit of a tight squeeze but no problem at all! As soon as we arrived David warmly greeted us and gave us a local map and explained the best places to eat and gave us some info about the river cruises, all of which we tried and weren't disappointed.
David and Valerie also cooled our bottle of wine for us, ready for when we arrived back at our room.
The breakfast was faultless. We had cooked breakfasts which were comparible to the ones we'd had in five star hotels, if not better! The sausages in particular were scrumptious, poached eggs cooked to perfection, and we had plenty of tea and coffee top ups. The staff were very friendly at breakfast and we were also offered anything from the buffet selection, as well as our cooked breakfast.

“Excellant - would go back”
The Howe Keld have worked very hard to provide a high standard of accomodation, food and service.
This place is a real gem and I would recommend that you consider staying here if visiting Keswick.
The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. Lots of little things in the room made a big difference.

Warm innkeepers who filled our flasks with tea for daily hikes and gave us ice for swollen ankles at the end of the days! Howe Keld was lovely, in a great location, with great (and huge) breakfasts, and with friendly and helpful hosts. We felt welcome even with our two little ones, who were not always the quietest. Loved the decor and commitment to green issues too. Not sure when we'll be back in Keswick, but we'd be quite happy to stay at Howe Keld again and will recommend it to any friends headed that way.
