Howe Keld Breakfast Menu

 
Juices
A choice of apple, orange, grapefruit or our homemade smoothie of the day served at your table
 
 
Buffet
Help yourself to a range of cereals, muesli, homemade granola, nuts, seeds and raisins, live yoghurts, seasonal fruit salad, stewed French Agen prunes
 
We will serve you with our own banana bread and organic wholewheat bread (the flour is stone ground at a local water mill). It can be toasted on request. Sugar-free malt bread and freshly baked croissant may also be available.
 
 
Howe Keld Creamy Porridge**
Made with organic oats and served with dark muscavado sugar.
Cooked in a double boiler for over 2 hours!
 
 
Cooked Breakfast**
 
Cumbrian
May include Richard Woodall’s bacon and Cumberland Sausage, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms, fried bread, free range fried, poached or scrambled eggs (please indicate). Baked beans on request.
 
Pancakes (crepes)
Made with organic flour from a local water mill, served with Organic Canadian Maple Syrup or straight lemon and sugar.
 
Locally Smoked Salmon and Free Range Scrambled egg
served on toasted country bread.
 
Vegetarian Homemade Rissoles
Served with tomato and herb sauce.
 
Our version of a ‘Veggie Fry-up’
A substantial vegetarian alternative to a Cumbrian breakfast with veggie sausages
 
A light platter of Cumbrian Air Dried Meats and Ham
From Richard Woodall, served with local red onion relish, a slice of artisan bread- and maybe an egg of your choice?
