Howe Keld is featured in Rick Steves 2013 TV Show
We have just heard that Howe Keld has been featured in the Lake District and Northern England section of the Rick Steves TV series which aired recently on national American TV channel PBS. Did anybody see it?
Rick Steves is a Guidebook author and travel TV host and is one of America's most respected authorities on European travel. Rick took his first trip to Europe in 1969 and then started Europe Through the Back Door, a business which has grown from a one-man operation to a company with staff of 80.
In 2012, its best year ever, Rick's tour program took over 12,000 Americans on more than 450 bus tours around Europe, covering 30 different itineraries.
We were delighted to welcome Rick and his team to Howe Keld to serve as their base for filming the Lake District and Northern England section of the TV show. During this time Rick sneakily surprised us in action during breakfast service!
