Our Double/ Twin En Suite rooms which are slightly smaller in size have the finest hand-sewn pocket sprung mattresses made with cotton, silk and cashmere fillings – unadulterated luxury of the sort usually to be found in 4 and 5 star hotels.
Much of the furniture is the creation of local craftsman Danny Frost, using local, naturally felled hardwoods including bed heads, cupboard doors, dressing table tops, bedside tables and coffee tables, all compelling features.
Carpets are woven using wool from the hardiest Lake District sheep, the legendary Herdwick. Farrow and Ball colours have been used on the walls to complement the warmth of the wood.
